Leticia de las Vecillas Sanchez MD, obtained her PhD Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Cantabria (Spain), Santander (Spain). She is an Allergist since 2016, after 4y training at the Marques de Valdecilla University Hospital in Santander. She also completed a 1y Clinical fellowship at Drug Hypersensitivity and Desensitization Center and a training research fellowship in mast cell biology (in vitro desensitization models), at Brigham&Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School, Boston (United States).

She started working as an allergist physician at the Marques de Valdecilla University Hospital in Santander, coordinator of the Drug Desensitization Unit and member of the Severe Asthma Committee of Cantabria, participating as investigator in several trials on severe asthma and respiratory allergies.

Since august 2021, she is working as an Allergy physician at La Paz University Hospital, Madrid (Spain).

She is member of several groups and societies: From 2019, she is the junior member representative at the Allergy Diagnosis & Systems Medicine Interest Group of the European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI) (2019-2021) and from 2021, member board of the Allergooncology Working group (2021-2023). She is also involved in the Committee of Drug Allergies (2019-2023) and the Junior Committee (CAJMIR) of the Spanish Allergy Society (SEAIC) (2019-2023).
