Dr. Roberto Ríos-Garcés began his university training at the Faculty of Medicine of the Autonomous University of Madrid, a degree that he obtained in 2011. He chose Puerta de Hierro University Hospital as the center to carry out specialized health training in Internal Medicine due to its extraordinary clinical training and its great connection with university teaching, an aspect in which he is deeply interested, obtaining the title of specialist in 2017.

During the residency he focused on achieving the broadest and most transversal clinical and academic training, completing his training with two excellent training periods in two renowned centers, such as the Infectious Diseases Service at Ramón y Cajal Hospital in Madrid, and the Systemic Autoimmune Diseases Unit at the Internal Medicine Service of the Hospital de Cruces in Bilbao.

After completing the medical residency, he continued his training in the Systemic Autoimmune Diseases Service of the Hospital Clinic de Barcelona, ​​since it is an international reference center in this area. He took the master’s degree in Autoimmune Diseases at the University of Barcelona during the 2017/2018 academic year, and the following year he started the Master’s degree in Research Methodology in Health Sciences at the Autonomous University of Barcelona.

Since October 2017 he has had the privilege of working in the Systemic Autoimmune Diseases Service of Hospital Clínic, getting involved in multiple tasks, projects and studies: national and international registries, researcher in more than 15 clinical trials from phase I to phase III, clinic assistance, reviewer for some specialty journals and, finally, initiation to scientific publication, with more than a dozen scientific articles and book chapters, several of them in press.
